Prof. Joy Sebastian, retired Professor of Political Science, St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous), Mysuru and a resident of N.R. Mohalla, passed away yesterday following a brief illness. He was 72.

He is survived by his wife Kitty Sebastian and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral will be held at 4 pm today at Virgin of the Poor Church in Bannimantap here followed by the burial at Gandhinagar Christian Cemetery.

An illustrious academician and a creative genius, Prof. Joy was a popular teacher of Political Science who had served at St. Philomena’s College, Mysuru for nearly three decades.
