Prof. K. Nanjegowda (75), retired Professor of Commerce Department at University of Mysore (UoM) and a resident of Saraswathipuram 7th Main Road, 5th Cross, passed away  yesterday in city.

He had also served as the Syndicate Member of UoM, Dean and Head of the Department for 35 years and served as the Director of D. Banumaiah’s College Post-Graduation Centre after his retirement. He was also the Founder-President of MACC Co-operative Bank.

A native of Guddalli in Channarayapatna taluk, he leaves behind his wife Yashodha, sons Pramod and Prashanth and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at K.G. Koppal Burial Grounds this morning.
