Mysore/Mysuru: Marking the commemoration of late activist Prof. K. Ramdas, the city-based Desiranga Cultural Trust will be organising ‘K. Ramdas Smarane’, featuring several programmes at Sriranga Vedike in Rangayana premises on Hunsur Road at 10.30 am on June 16.

Announcing this at a press meet here recently, Trust President Krishna Janamana said Senior Journalist Krishnaprasad will inaugurate the programme.

Noted poetess Savitha Nagabushan will release the book ‘Antara Jaati Vivaha Mattu Saamajika Samaanathe’ while Senior Journalist Ravindra Bhat will distribute prizes to the winners of the article writing contest on the topic ‘Rajakaranda Nytika Nelegattu Mattu Prastutha Raajakaarana’, held as part of the event. University of Mysore former faculty Prof. Muzaffar Assadi will preside.

The afternoon session will begin at 2.30 pm with a lecture on the topic ‘Raajakaaranada Nytika Nelegattu’ by political analyst Shivasundar. Writer and Journalist  B.M. Haneef will speak on the topic ‘Raajakaarana Mattu Pragatipararu’. Senior Journalist Amshi Prasannakumar will preside. Former Corporator K.V. Mallesh will be present.

Wildlife photographers Krupakar and Senani will deliver the valedictory address at 4 pm. Former MLA  M.K. Somashekar  will preside. Prof. H.R. Swamy will be the chief guest.  Dr. B.S. Dinamani was present.
