Prof. K.S. Nissar Ahmed’s poetry collection ‘Seemateetana Sirivanta Suggi’ released

Mysuru: Talukina Venkannaiah Smaraka Granthamale, together with Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota, had organised a function at JSS Women’s College in Saraswathipuram here yesterday for the release of the book ‘Seemateetana Sirivanta Suggi,’ a collection of poems of Nadoja Prof. K.S. Nissar Ahmed.

Releasing the book, former Chief Minister Dr. M. Veerappa Moily opined that the collection of poems of Prof. Nissar Ahmed provided bondage between two religious groups. He commended Prof. Ahmed for his knowledge of Kannada literature and expressed happiness that the great poet would inaugurate Dasara festival this time.

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji graced that occasion. District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, MLA Vasu, Kalakoota Mysuru President M. Chandrashekar, Senior Critic Dr. Narahalli Balasubramanya, Poet Dr. H.S. Venkatesha Murthy, Publisher T.S. Chayapati and others were present on the occasion.
