Mysore/Mysuru: Commemorating the birth centenary of noted writer Prof. L.S. Seshagiri Rao, the Kannada Vikasa Saikshanika, Samajika, Samskrutika Samste will be distributing ‘Vidyanidhi’ to students at a programme to take place at RamaGovinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishnanagar at 11 am tomorrow (Feb.23).

The event will also feature the inauguration of a Children’s Library (Makkala Pusthaka Angala). Former Kuvempu Bhasha Bharathi Chairman Dr. Pradhan Gurudatta will inaugurate the programme. Bengaluru’s Kannada Geleyara Balaga Convenor R.N. Chandrashekar and Mysuru’s JSS College PG Centre faculty Dr. D.B. Shivakumar will speak about the contributions of Prof.Seshagiri Rao to Kannada and his books.

The late writer’s wife Bharathi Seshagiri Rao and Samste President Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah will preside.
