It was indeed a pleasure to read the 3-part article titled “A visionary educationist of Mysore: N.S. Subba Rao” written by Dr. Bhagirath S. Naganath under his column ‘Mysore Memories’ recently.
Persons of such intellectual calibre, generosity and modesty are very very rare today.
Prof. Subba Rao along with intellectual giants like B.M. Sri, T.S. Venkannayya, Dr. S. Srikanta Sastri, A.R. Krishna Shastry, Thi.Tha. Sharma, D.V. Gundappa, G.P. Rajarathnam and others in the early and mid 20th century made our Mysore proud.
I am also proud to know that T. Krishnamacharya started the first Yoga Shala under royal patronage with the help of Subba Rao.
