Sir,
Years ago, I was doing my post-graduation at Manasagangothri. Not in History though. Manasagangothri was blessed with several intellectuals and great teachers at that time. Prof. B. Sheik Ali was the Head of the Department of History at that time.
There was a talk by Prof. Sheik Ali at the Humanities Auditorium and many students and teachers gathered to listen to him. We were all thrilled and spellbound when he finished his breathtaking lecture. As a teenager, I was in awe and wished if he could continue for some more time.
His lecture was pure organic and mouth-watering. I still recollect the ‘taste’ of that lecture and attend public functions in town where he’s invited to speak. He speaks with verve and high octane energy. His knowledgeable oratory is mesmerising.
Like me, innumerable readers of Star of Mysore must have been immensely happy to see the Professor’s article on importance of natural farming in the 27th December issue.
Amongst our many resolutions for the New Year, an important one should be not to miss Prof. Sahib’s articles in Star of Mysore!
