Professor’s chain snatched

Mandya: Miscreants have snatched a gold chain of a Professor of a private Engineering College, while she was waiting for a bus at Siddaiahana Koppal Gate in the taluk on Nov. 10.

The Professor, who lost her gold chain is 25-year-old B.H. Rakshitha, a Professor at Cauvery Engineering College in Mandya.

On Nov. 10 at about 4.30 pm, Rakshitha was waiting for a bus at Siddaiahana Koppal Gate after finishing her work to go to her house at Belagola in Srirangapatna taluk, when two persons, who came on a bike from Bengaluru side, came near her and asked her the way to Pandavapura.

When Rakshitha was guiding them, the pillion rider yanked off her 12 grams gold chain and the riders sped away.

A case has been registered at Mandya Rural Police Station.
