Prohibitory orders around booths

Mysuru: On account of May 12  Assembly polls, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar, who is also the District Electoral Officer, has issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 of Cr.Pc., in 200 meter radius of all polling booths in the District from 6 pm of May 10 to 6 pm of May 13.

As per the prohibitory order, gathering of more than five persons is banned.

Also, carrying of lethal weapons and explosives, display of portraits, public address, inciting the public and such other acts have been totally banned.

The prohibitory order will be in force till 6 pm of May 13.
