Protest for release of pending wages

Mysore/Mysuru: Members of Karnataka State Higher Education Colleges Employees Union, under the banner of All India United Trade Union Centre (AIUTUC), staged protest opposite the Office of Joint Director of Higher Education Department, Hunsur road here this morning and urged the State Government to release pending wages for all college employees in the district.

Alleging that College Principals are falsely claiming that they are providing minimum wages for their employees, protesting members demanded the State administration to intervene and stop this unfair labour practice and provide statutory minimum wages pending salary for all employees working in colleges including that of  lockdown period.

AIUTUC State Convenor Chandrashekhar Meti, District Joint Secretary Muddukrishna, Puttaraju, Meenakshi, Indira, Rekha and others were present.
