Sir,
We are happy that due to heavy traffic between Mysuru and Nanjangud, the National Highway (NH) has been upgraded from two-lane to four-lane to an extent of 24 kms (NH 212). But the happiness didn’t last long as the work was of very poor quality and unscientific. The new road is full of potholes and the contractor is doing patch work. The alignment of the road is so pathetic that all the curves are leading to major accident zones, that too near the bridge. Nearly three accidents are taking place in a week, sometimes claiming lives.
The authorities have only upgraded the NH but not provided the much-needed Service Road or Flyovers for the people of Nanjangud town and villagers of Kadakola and Thandavapura since the road passes in the centre of NH. In between the stretch of 24 kms there are four industrial estates. The reason why I am emphasising on these things is lack of service road has already claimed many lives.
It is my humble and sincere request to the higher-ups to resolve this issue by directing the officials concerned to act quickly and provide proper scientific road so that we can travel freely without any fear.
