CM’s sister passes away

Mysuru: Chikkamma, eldest sister of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah passed away at a private hospital here last night following brief illness. She was 90. Her husband Sannegowda of Devegowdanahundi in the taluk had predeceased her.

She leaves behind three sons — Nagaraj, a GP Member of Devegowdanadoddi, Koosanna and Mallanna, three daughters — Shivamma, Lakshmi and Chikkathayamma and a host of relatives and friends.

CM Siddharamaiah attends funeral: Last rites were performed at Devegowdanahundi this afternoon, in which CM Siddharamaiah took part.

Former Minister and BJP leader C.H. Vijayashankar was among those who were present at the last rites.
