PU toppers, distinction holders honoured

Mysore/Mysuru: Global Education Trust (GET) Mysore, the parent body of Daksha PU College and GETS Academy, honoured its PU toppers and the large number of its distinction students.

Dr. Anand, Chairman of BIMS, Mysore University and Prof. Nagaraj, Chairman of the Department of Commerce, Mysore University, oriented and counselled the students on the salient features of the first of its kind B.Com Hons and BBA Hons degree programmes in Karnataka, provided by GETS Academy Mysore.

These specialised programmes structured in line with the National Education Policy (NEP), facilitate lateral entry/ exit, and meet the career growth aspirations of the students and requirements of the Governments, corporates, entrepreneurs, international organisations and multi-purpose global service providers.

Dr. Anand expressed his thoughts, saying: “These courses particularly help students grasp the core aspects of their subjects, in turn; a talent pool of professionals is being created each day, whose credentials as professions are surely commendable. The programmes are so conceived that it equips the students with a wide range of commerce, administrative and managerial skills, while building competence in various areas of life activity.”

Jayachandra Raju, Chairman, GET, stated, “for the holistic development of every student, the institution supports organised study tours, industry visits and international excursions for experimental learning and practical exposure internationally. It would also associate with various prestigious companies for internships, projects and placements.”

He also advised that health and well-being of everyone on the campus is the utmost priority and GETS guarantees that all possible measures will be taken to protect everyone from the COVID-19 pandemic, where we would see ourselves come out of this crisis together as a community.
