Public awareness programme on ground water

Karnataka Ground Water Authority, Bengaluru in association with Senior Geologist, District Ground Water Office, Mysuru, has organised a ‘Ground Water Public Awareness Programme’ at Government High School, Chilkunda village, Hunsur taluk on Feb. 12 at 10 am. The programme has been organised to create awareness about proper usage, conservation, management and revival of ground water sources among people. Zilla Panchayat member H.E. Jayalakshmi Rajanna will inaugurate the programme. Gram Panchayat President Sumitra will preside. Hunsur Block Education Officer S.P. Nagaraju will release a handbook on ground water.
