Beat him black and blue before handing him over to Police

Mysuru:  A person, who allegedly snatched a chain of a girl and tried to flee was caught by the public, who thrashed him before handing him over to the Police on Saturday.

The chain-snatcher, who was caught by the public, is 35-year-old Krishnakumar, a resident of Chinnagirikoppal near Jayanagar here.

On Saturday morning, G.C. Divya, a resident of Aishwarya Nagar in Kuvempunagar N-Block, was walking on the road next to Mahadeshwara Temple, when the accused, who came on a TVS moped from the opposite side, snatched the gold chain weighing about 15 grams and tried to flee.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya screamed for help which attracted the public.

The public then chased the accused and managed to catch him. They then beat him black and blue and handed him along with the moped to the Police.

Based on a complaint by Divya, Ashokapuram Police have registered a case in this regard.
