Mysuru: In view of pulse polio campaign scheduled to take place on Jan. 19 in the district, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar chaired a meeting of the District Task Force for Immunisation and District Health Mission at his office here yesterday.
Addressing the meeting, RCHO Dr. L. Ravi said that Pulse Polio campaign will be held in the district on Jan. 19 and stressed the need for a perfect co-ordination between the Health Department, Education Department, CESC, Department of Women and Child Development, Department of Public Instruction, Department of Transport, RTO, AYUSH, Rotary and Lions Clubs, Nursing Schools, Railways, All India Radio, religious leaders, MCC and all other concerned departments to ensure successful implementation of immunisation programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC instructed the officials to take all necessary steps to achieve the target set for the campaign for the current year.
Later, officials discussed about the National De-worming Day drive, which is scheduled to take place on Feb. 10.
DDPI Dr. Panduranga, MCC Health Officer Dr. Jayanth, District Health Officer Dr. R. Venkatesh, Dr. Chidambara, T. Narasipur Taluk Health Officer Dr. Ravikumar and other Health Officials attended the meeting.
