Puttanna Kanagal’s son Ramu passes away

Bengaluru: Ramu Kanagal (53), son of legendary Kannada filmmaker Puttanna Kanagal, passed away following brief illness at a hospital here on Wednesday.

Ramu, whose condition had deteriorated in the last five days, was admitted at the Victoria Hospital and at the time of his admission, the virus had infected the lungs severely and he passed away around 5.30 am.

Ramu, a dancer, was the founder of Kanagal Nrithyalaya in Bengaluru. 

He had nurtured many dance and theatre talents.
