Puttannaiah’s fan ends life

Mandya: Unable to bear the loss of his leader and farmer icon K.S. Puttannaiah, his die-hard fan committed suicide this morning. He has been identified as 27-year-old Chandu from Kyathanahalli village.

According to villagers, Chandu was a staunch follower of Puttannaiah and he was inspired to join farmers’ movement. Villagers said that Chandu was depressed since Sunday after he heard the news about Puttannaiah’s death. Wearing a green T-shirt, Chandu hanged himself from a tree. Srirangapatna Police have registered a case.
