Apropos the letter titled “R.K. Narayan and the Film “Guide”  (SOM dated Sept.7) the reader has strongly recommended reading the book ‘Guide’ and viewing the film.  But more interesting and lively is the article written by R.K.Narayan in his own inimitable style, in the famous American Magazine ‘Life’ in 1967 or so about his experiences with the film-makers. The article was titled ‘Is this Malgudi?’ I wish someone digs out this article for the benefit a large number of SOM readers.
