R.K. Venkateshmurthy (64), retired Superintendent of Education Department and a resident of Kanakadasanagar, passed away yesterday in city.

He leaves behind his wife Sumathi, Head Mistress at Ramanahundi Government Higher Primary School, daughter Harshitha and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to family sources.
