Mysore/Mysuru: Senior Police Officer R. Shivakumar took charge as the new Additional Superintendent of Police of Mysuru here on Thursday. Shivakumar, who was serving as Additional SP at Dharwad,was recently transferred to Mysuru. He replaces P.V. Sneha, who has been transferred without a posting.

Speaking after assuming  charge, Shivakumar said that his first task is to control COVID-19 situation in the district and to maintain Law and Order as per lockdown guidelines.

Pointing out that prevention and detection of crimes will be at the top of his agenda, he said that he will function under the guidance of top officers.
