Mysuru: In an era driven by speed, technology and constant distractions, the words of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore continue to offer a rare sense of stillness, introspection and hope. More than a century after Gitanjali earned the Nobel Prize in Literature, its verses remain as relevant today as they were when they were first penned, speaking to the universal human quest for love, freedom, faith, nature and self-realisation.

Bringing this timeless literary treasure to the stage is ‘Rabindra Raaga,’ a unique poetic expression presented through Bhavaabhinaya by Anubhuthi, Mysuru, in association with Nithin’s Nadamrutha School of Music and Rangasmruthi.

The performance will be held at Mini Theatre in Kalamandira premises on July 25 at 6.30 pm. Concept, Design and Execution is by Srividya.

Rather than presenting poetry as mere recitation, ‘Rabindra Raaga’ transforms selected poems from Gitanjali into a rich visual and emotional experience. Through expressive movement, evocative music, thoughtful narration and artistic interpretation, the production allows audiences to experience the profound emotions and philosophy embedded in Tagore’s poetry.

Selected poems transcend barriers of language, geography, religion and time. They remind us to embrace compassion over conflict, courage over fear, simplicity over excess and humanity over division.
