Mysuru: As part of Raitha Dasara to be held at J.K. Grounds in city from Sept. 22 to 24, following programmes have been organised:

Sept. 22: A grand procession of farmers and livestock would be taken out from Mysore Palace North Gate; Sept. 23: Sports for farmers (men and women). Events for men includes boulder lifting, running race with 50kg fertiliser bag and gunny sack race. For women farmers, there will be lemon & spoon race and running race with water-filled pitchers. First three prize winners will be given a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, Rs.3,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively; Sept. 24: Cow Milking Competition.

Farmers interested in taking part in the contests, may register their names with Agriculture Officers of Raitha Samparka Kendras at hobli-levels.
