Rajneesh Goel is Additional Chief Secretary to CM

Bengaluru: With the change in Government, new postings have been made to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Monday. Senior IAS Officer Rajneesh Goel of 1986 batch has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to the Chief Minister as concurrent charge. Goel will also continue to function as the Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department.

Selection Grade KAS Officer Dr. M. Venkateshaiah, who had served as the Personal Secretary of Siddharamaiah when he was the Opposition Leader in the State Assembly, has now been appointed as Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s Personal Secretary.

In other appointments to the CM’s Office, senior Journalist K.V. Prabhakar has been appointed as CM’s Media Advisor, with the rank of Cabinet Minister.

Prabhakar, who hails from Kolar, had served in a couple of Kannada dailies.  He had also served as the CM’s Media Co-ordinator from 2014 to 2018 during Siddharamaiah’s earlier stint as the CM.

Selection Grade KAS Officer B. Shivaswamy has been appointed as CM’s Joint Secretary while Dr. K.Vaishnavi, a Karnataka Municipal Service (KMS) Officer and R. Mahadeva, who was serving as Sub-Registrar at Bengaluru’s Ganganagar, have been appointed as Officers on Special Duty.

M. Venkatesh, a long-time associate of Siddharamaiah and K.N. Vijaya, a resident of Chandra Layout in Bengaluru, have been appointed as CM’s Officers on Special Duty (contract basis).

P.A. Gopal, a retired Joint Secretary of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Department, has been appointed as the Joint Secretary of the CM’s Relief Fund section, on contract basis. He had served in the same section earlier too on contract basis.
