Mysore:  Ramzan Mela began on Sawday Road in Meena Bazar at Mandi Mohalla in city on Monday.

Hazarath Tipu Sultan Welfare Committee Secretary Afroz Pasha had requested MLA Tanveer Sait to provide more facilities and permission for the Mela following which the MLA sought the Deputy Commissioner and City Police Commissioner to do the needful. Besides, he requested the MCC Commissioner to get the place cleaned daily and to ensure supply of drinking water from 11 am to midnight for 15 days.

Committee Chairman and former Corporator Naseeruddin Babu is supervising the area as several businessmen from other States have put up stalls  at Mela.
