Rangaswamy Shetty

Rangaswamy Shetty (60), who was serving as an ASI at Bettadapura Police Sub-Station, passed away yesterday following a heart attack.

With just four months left for his retirement, Rangaswamy was deputed to Shravanabelagola for the ongoing Mahamastakabhisheka.

He was returning to his place after his duty when he suffered a heart attack and was admitted to Narayana Hospital where he breathed his last.

He leaves behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at his native place Kalkunike in Hunsur this morning, according to family sources.
