Rangayana invites applications for one-year Diploma course

Mysuru: Rangayana has invited applications for one-year Diploma Course in theatre education for the year 2018-19. The theatre repertory is successfully running the Bharatiya Ranga Shikshana Kendra ‘Rangashale’ since the last eight years and Hampi University has given recognition to the present course.

The students applying for the course must be between 18 and 28 years of age with a minimum qualification of PUC (10+2). Selected students will be provided a stipend of Rs.3,000 and Rs.1,800 as food allowance per month, apart from free accommodation.

How to apply

Students who are desirous of joining Rangashale can visit the website www.rangayana.org and download the application form or personally visit the Rangayana office to collect the forms.

The filled-in applications can be submitted along with application fee (General Category Rs.100, SC,ST and Category-1 fee Rs.50) and purchase a DD in the name of Joint Director, Rangayana, Kalamandira premises, Vinoba Road, Mysuru-570 005. The forms can be sent through speed post addressed to Rangyana or personally submit the application to the office during working hours before June 15 by 6 pm.

Selection process

The students will be selected through interviews based on their interest in theatre and talent they display. They should appear for the interview at their own cost. The interview will be held on June 25 and 26 at the Rangayana premises.

The selected students must seek admission to the school before July 8. During the admission all relevant original documents must be submitted which will be returned on the completion of the course.
