October 18, 2025

Madikeri, Oct. 18 (PS&BCT)- Participating in the sacred Cauvery Theerthodbhava of Goddess Cauvery — revered as the lifeline of our land and the mother of all living beings — was a deeply fulfilling experience, said Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar.

Speaking after witnessing the divine emergence at Talacauvery, the MP, dressed in his traditional attire including a Mysore peta, described it as a rare and spiritually uplifting moment.

“As Cauvery Mata surged forth in her sacred form, so too did our collective devotion,” he remarked.

Earlier, Yaduveer had joined Kodagu residents and local leaders in a padayatra from Bhagamandala to Talacauvery, which he called a source of pride and a rare opportunity for spiritual unity.

“When Cauvery Mata is abundant, the land flourishes. I earnestly prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being across our region,” he added.

The padayatra saw participation from a large contingent of BJP leaders and workers, including Kodagu BJP President Ravi Kalappa, Madikeri City Council Vice-President, District BJP General Secretary Mahesh Jainy, District Spokesperson Taloor Kishore Kumar, Satish Joyappa, Yamuna Changappa, Panchayat President Kaalana Ravi and Rakesh Sharath.

Hundreds of devotees walked alongside the MP, who was joined by Virajpet Constituency MLA A.S. Ponnanna, in this solemn procession.
