Mysuru: Mysuru Division of South Western Railway (SWR) observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) today (Oct. 31) to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the ‘Iron Man of India.’

On this occasion, SWR Mysuru Divisional Railway Manager, (DRM) Mudit Mittal administered the National Unity Day pledge to officers and staff, reaffirming their commitment to preserving the unity, integrity and security of the nation.

As part of the celebrations, a ‘Run for Unity’ was organised to promote national unity, brotherhood and solidarity.

ADRM Shammas Hameed, branch officers, railway staff and Scouts & Guides members participated in the programme.
