‘Rashtriyathe’ a misnomer in India: CPI(M) leader

July 16, 2017

Mysuru: CPI(M) District Committee had organised a function at Rotary Hall on JLB Road here recently to mark the release of the book ‘India Vasthava Rashtriyathe’, translated to Kannada by K.V. Vasudevan and N. Vijaykumar, originally written by CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury and Marxian Economist Prabhat Patnaik.

Releasing the book, G.N. Nagaraj, CPI(M) State Executive Committee Member questioned the rationale behind ‘Rashtriyathe’ when on the pretext of globalisation corporate politics was going on in the country and everything was being labelled as ‘Hindutva.’

He warned of a situation when nothing will be Indian with the advent of too many foreign companies.

He strongly protested the imposition of any particular language on people when the country was a multilingual society.

CPI(M) State Secretary G.V. Srirama Reddy was the chief gust. Leaders V.J.K. Nair, K. Basavaraj, N. Vijaykumar and others were present during the occasion.
