Rat snake causes panic at Dance Day

April 30, 2019

The appearance of a rat snake at the International Dance Day celebrations caused panic among the people for a few moments. The prize distribution ceremony to winners of various competitions was going on at the Music University premises.

Around 4.30 pm when University’s Senior Assistant Vijay Badigeri was taking a few photocopies, a snake entered the room. Seeing this Badigeri and his staff panicked and ran out of the room.

Immediately, Herpetologist Snake Shyam was informed over the phone. He reached the spot and caught the five foot rat snake and later released it into the forest.
