Mysuru: The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, is organising two-day hands-on workshop on “Remote Controlled (RC) Aero Design and Modelling” on Sept. 30 and Oct.1.
Vymanika – Aero Modelling Lab will also be inaugurated in the Department as part of SAE Collegiate Club. At the hands-on workshop, fundamental concepts and principle of operation RC aircraft, imparting information about the construction of RC aircraft and fabrication aspects will be imparted to the aspirants.
In the Aero Modelling Lab, tools required for fabricating aircraft, accessories, simulation module and related devices are equipped. Nearly 15 teams will participate in this workshop.
Anuj Duggal, Innovation Programme Manager – Corporate Affairs, Intel India, Bengaluru, will be the chief guest at the inaugural function scheduled at Mechanical Department Seminar Hall at 9.30 am on Sept. 30. He will deliver the keynote address on recent and future trends in engineering and technology.
Gundappa Gowda, President, VV Sangha, will preside. P. Vishwanath, Secretary and Srishaila Ramannavar, Treasurer, will be the guests of honour. Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE, Dr. G.V. Naveen Prakash, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, faculty coordinators Prof. Arun C. Dixir, Prof. R. Shivashankar and Dr. S.A. Mohan Krishna, faculty members and student coordinators will be present.
