Nanjangud: A real estate agent was found murdered near Nanjangud. The naked body, with injuries on the head, was found behind a Hero two-wheeler showroom on Nanjangud-Mysuru National Highway this morning. 

The deceased has been identified as Basavaraju (57), a real estate agent of Chamalapura Hundi near Nanjangud.  

Dy. SP Prabhakar Shinde, who visited the spot, told SOM that the body was found naked and miscreants may have killed him by hitting his head with a heavy object.

It is learnt that Basavaraju left his home yesterday saying that he would come back in the evening but did not return. The reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, Basavaraju’s wife Lakshmamma has lodged a complaint at Nanjangud Rural Police Station and the Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
