Real estate partnership: Man allegedly cheated of Rs. 55 lakh

Mysore/Mysuru: A man, who was lured into real estate business partnership by two persons promising high returns, has been allegedly cheated of Rs. 55 lakh by the duo at Vijayanagar in city. One Gajanana Bhat, alleging that he has been cheated, has lodged a complaint against Babaiah Swamy Naidu and Brahmananda Reddy at Vijayanagar Police Station.

In his complaint, Bhat has stated that he is serving at Central Tourism Dept. and he got to know Naidu and Reddy through one Ravi. Naidu and Reddy took him (Bhat) as a partner for the real estate firm at Vijayanagar by taking Rs. 55 lakh from him only to cheat him. Bhat has also stated that the duo have switched off their mobile phones. Based on the complaint, Vijayanagar Inspector Vishwanath, who has registered a case, is investigating.
