Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. B. Nirmala, an Associate Professor, Head of Department of Hindi (retd.), Writer, Poet, Social Activist, Senior NSS Officer, Cricketer and Motivational Speaker of Mysuru city, was honoured with ‘Vishva Hindi Setu Sammaan’ award at the 3-day International Conference and Poets Meet held at Mauritius, on the occasion of World Hindi Day celebrations from Jan. 9 to 12.

Dr. Shubhankar Mishra, Deputy Secretary of Vishva Hindi Secretariat, Dr. Rohini Ramroop, President of Hindi Pracharini Sabha, Mauritius and Manoj Kumar, Sahitya Sanchay Shodh Samstha, India, presented the award.

Dr. Nirmala read her poem, ‘Louta do Bachpan,’ which was appreciated by the audience at Vishava Hindi Secretariat Hall. She also presented her paper on Social Media and Hindi.
