Renowned musicians mesmerise audience with Tyagaraja compositions

Mysuru: Avadhoota Datta Peetham – Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama had organised a mass singing of Tygaraja Pancha Ratna compositions in memory of Sri Venkatamakhi at Nada Mantapa in the Ashrama premises on Ooty Road here on Saturday evening.

Vidwans R.K. Padmanabha, Dr. Mysore Manjunath, Nagaraju, B.C. Manjunath and others rendered Tyagaraja compositions like ‘Jagadanandakaraka’, ‘Dhudukugala’, ‘Yendaro Mahanubhava’ and many more, mesmerising the art-lovers.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji opined that the seven notes of music always soothes the mind.

He said that remembering the great composer and Saint Tyagaraja’s birth anniversary was complete with rendering of the Saint’s compositions.

Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji, Mysore University Dean Dr. Ramaswamy, Mookambika Creations Founder Paramesh and others were present during the occasion.
