Replace damaged concrete slabs

June 8, 2023

Sir,

During my recent visit to Mysuru, I noticed a damaged slab on the drain on KRS road, opposite to Railway Guest House and besides CFTRI compound wall (see photo).

With the concrete portion missing, iron rods remained making it a risk for pedestrians to walk. If miscreants cut and take away these iron rods, there will be a further risk to pedestrians.

On the same stretch, there was another slab that was damaged beyond this and posing a threat to pedestrians. In the absence of street-lights, it is much more dangerous to walk on this footpath during night.

Will the authorities concerned take action at the earliest to replace the damaged slabs before some causality is reported?
