Mysuru: JSS Dental College and Hospital, a Constituent College of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru, secured third prize for their research paper titled “Nail as the Biomarker to Monitor Water Fluoride Levels.”
The research paper discusses a novel method, which can be used to detect the early effects of water fluoride on primary teething in young children.
The paper was presented by Dr. B. Nandlal, Professor and Principal Investigator, JSS Dental College. Dr. Ragvendra Shanbog has co-authored the paper.
The paper was presented at the 31st International Conference of ISDR-IADR (Indian Society for Dental Research – International Association for Dental Research), India Division, in Mumbai in September.
Dr. B. Nandlal, Professor, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, received a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ from the Chairpersons, Dr. Vandana Gade, Professor, Endodontics Kalmegh Dental College, Nagpur and Dr. Devanand Shetty, Professor and Head, Periodontics, DY Patil University School of Dentistry, Navi Mumbai.
