Reservation: Panchamasali Lingayats to launch indefinite stir from Oct. 1

September 22, 2021

Koppal: Panchamasali Lingayats have warned of launching an indefinite stir at Bengaluru from Oct. 1 if the Government fails to keep its promise of bringing the community under 2A reservation category.

Addressing press persons at Panchamasali Samudaya Bhavan at Koppal in Kalyana Karnataka region, Kudalasangama Panchamasali Gurupeetha Seer Sri Basavajaya Mrutyunjaya Swamiji said, he wished that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will declare the reservation by then.

Pointing out that the Chief Minister will be felicitated by the community if he announced the 2A category reservation for the community, the Seer said that, if not, it is inevitable for Panchamasali Lingayats to launch the stir in the State Capital.

The indefinite stir will commence from Oct. 1 at Freedom Park in the heart of Bengaluru, he added.
