Restore iron girders on Krishna Vilas Road

December 10, 2019

Sir,

Krishna Vilas Road is home to several Schools and a Junior College. Hundreds of students use this road daily to and fro mornings, afternoons and in the evenings to commute. Most of them are rural students who walk from nearby city bus stand.

To prevent plying of heavy vehicles which were causing accidents involving students, steel/iron girders were erected by Police near Parakala Mutt and Khadri Shamanna Circle (near Devaraja Traffic Police Station).

Recently these girders have been removed on either ends and as a result heavy vehicles have started to ply again. Also every day trucks are parked near Sri Venkataramanaswamy temple to transport goods to nearby godowns causing more hindrance to people even to walk freely. In view of the above, I request the Police and MCC to restore the removed girders, to prevent any fatality.
