This has reference to the views expressed by many readers in this column on the subject of online payment of water bills.
I am really at a loss to understand why the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) is dilly-dallying in restoring the online water bill payment facility which existed earlier. This is not a new initiative because majority of the consumers were making use of online service for payment of their water bills.
As rightly pointed out, it is horrible to visit the MCC Zonal Office cash counter at Vijayanagar because of the worst road conditions. Will MCC wake up at least now and take immediate action to restore the already existed online water bill facility which not only increases the revenue collection but also helps the consumers to pay the water bills safely from their place of stay?
