Retd. ASI dies of heart attack

Mysore/Mysuru: Retired Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Police G.V. Raju (71), died of heart attack in the city on Thursday.

Raju, a native of Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district, was residing near Basaveshwara Circle, Hebbal here.

He collapsed soon after stopping his two-wheeler at the parking lot in front of a juice stall near Surya Bakery Circle of the same locality at around 7.05 pm on Thursday.

The passersby rushed to his rescue but Raju had died of heart attack by then, it is said.

He is survived by his wife Sharada and two sons G.R. Pradeep and G.R. Sandeep.
