Retired Policemen felicitated on Police Flag Day

Marking Police Flag Day, District and City Police, Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) and KSRP 5th Battalion together had organised a function at CAR grounds this morning. Speaking as the chief guest, S. Ramdas Gowda, retired Commandant, KSRP 5th Battalion, opined that the job in Police Dept. was different compared to other Govt. jobs as it involves a round-the-clock vigil with total dedication. He said that Police personnel should have courage and must be prepared for tough challenges.

Twelve retired Police personnel — A.S. Puttaiah, Y.S. Samuel, B. Ramaswamy, Savithri, J. John, M.C. Mariswamy, K. Venkatesh, Gopal, Srikantamurthy, Chikkaiah, Puttavenkataramana and Srinivas — were felicitated on the occasion. City Police Commissioner Dr. A.S. Rao, IGP (Southern Range) Vipul Kumar, SP Ravi D. Channannavar and KPA Dy. Direct Dr. Dharanidevi  Malagatti were present.
