Retired Professor Dr. Pramila B. Kunnur passes away

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Pramila B. Kunnur (62), retired HoD and Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at Maharaja’s College, passed away following a heart attack at her residence in Vidyanagar, Hubballi, yesterday.

She leaves behind her family members, relatives, friends and a host of students.

Last rites were held yesterday evening, according to family sources.

Dr. Pramila was the first batch student of Journalism at Karnatak University in 1982 and was the first to obtain a Ph.D in this subject. She started her teaching career at Karnatak University and later served as the Assistant Professor at Maharaja’s College in 1994. She had settled down in Hubballi after her retirement.
