Mysore/Mysuru: A pedestrian was killed on the spot when a bike rammed into him near Lakshmi Theatre on Chamaraja Double Road here yesterday. The deceased is Venkataramana Shetty (61), a retired Police Sub-Inspector and a resident of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar in city.
He was crossing the road at about 8.45 pm, when a motorist, riding a Bajaj Pulsar bike, rammed into him killing Shetty on the spot. The bike rider, who suffered serious injuries, has been admitted to K.R. Hospital, according to K.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case.
