Mysuru: City-based Samarpana Educational and Endowment Trust recently felicitated Dr. P. Venkataramaiah, former Vice-Chancellor of Kuvempu University, at his residence.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Venkataramaiah said that the rural-based students should come forward to study Science subjects, as they develop inferiority complex thinking that Science and Mathematics are difficult for them to study.
He further said that the University of Mysore had set-up Science Development Committees at Schools for the first time with the co-operation of Scientists.The said Committees had set-up Science Centres, mobile laboratory and have taken steps to spread the knowledge of Science through teachers, he added.
He said that interaction programme was being held on the first Saturday of every month at ‘Vijnana Bhavan’ in Manasagangothri.
