RFO found dead in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Kantaraj S. Chavan (35), a native of Bijapur, who was working as Range Forest Officer (RFO) at T. Narasipur Social Forestry, Mysuru District, was found dead on the Cross Road near a private lodge on Mother Teresa Road (B.N. Road) near Sub-Urban Bus Stand in city this morning.

According to Lashkar Police, Manu, one of Kantaraj’s friends, had informed them that last evening he was invited by Kantaraj for a party at the lodge where he was staying. After partying, both had gone out for a stroll in the night, returned to the room and had slept. However, when Manu woke up in the morning Kantaraj was missing. On searching around  the lodge, his body was found in the Cross Road.

On being informed Lakshar Inspector Lolakshi and staff visited the spot and conducted mahazar before shifting the body to MMC&RI mortuary. Devaraja Sub-Division ACP K. Rajendra also visited the spot. Lakshar Police have registered a case.
