Rider dies after hitting car

Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot after ramming into a car near Abhishek Circle, Hebbal in city early this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh (49), son of Sridhar and a resident of MG Koppal in city. Ganesh, who runs a provision store in MG Koppal, used to deliver milk to houses in the morning.

This morning at about 5.45, Ganesh was on his way to deliver milk on his TVS Jupiter scooter and when he was proceeding from Surya Bakery side towards Abhishek Circle, a man was reversing his car near Abhishek Circle. Ganesh rammed into the car and fell down sustaining serious head injuries and died on the spot.

VV Puram Traffic Inspector Lava, Sub-Inspector Gautham Gowda and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case, seized both the vehicles involved in the accident and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.
