Rider injured as bike hits Police vehicle

Mysore/Mysuru: A 66-year-old bike rider was injured, when he hit a Police vehicle near Administrative Training Institute (ATI) on Lalitha Mahal Road yesterday night.

The injured rider has been identified as Nagasundarappa, a security staff at SDM College.

Nagasundarappa, at about 8.30 pm yesterday, was proceeding on his bike from Kurubarahalli Circle towards Mysore Race Club (MRC) side, when the Police vehicle coming from MRC side took a right turn near Police Bhavan to proceed towards KSRP side.

As soon as the Police vehicle took a right turn, Nagasundarappa, who was coming from Kurubarahalli side, hit the Police vehicle resulting in him sustaining injuries to his legs.

Police said that Nagasundarappa is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in city.

Siddarthanagar Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
