Rider injured as bus rams into two-wheeler

Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was seriously injured when a KSRTC bus rammed into his two-wheeler near Shathala Theatre Signal Lights on Chamaraja Double Road here last night.

It is learnt that the Mangaluru-Mysuru KSRTC bus, which came from Ramaswamy Circle side, driven in a rash manner, rammed into the two-wheeler resulting in the rider suffering serious injuries and being rushed to a hospital.

Meanwhile, the irate public caught hold of the bus driver and thrashed him besides damaging the glass panes of the bus.

K.R. Traffic Police, who rushed to the spot, have taken further action.

Meanwhile, the public said that frequent accidents were taking place near the signal lights due to rash and negligent driving by the bus drivers and other heavy vehicles.

They have urged the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to prevent accidents from taking place in future.
